The Food For Hungry program is dedicated to supporting the poor, homeless individuals, and orphaned street children on a daily basis. Founded by Rev. Appa Rao Veerla and his family, also known as “Pastor Appa,” in 2015, this ministry seeks to care for and uplift those in need while demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ and His church.
India is home to millions of hungry orphans who often lack proper care, education, and guidance. Unfortunately, many of these children are vulnerable to exploitation and child trafficking. Through BETHLEHEM MINISTRIES, we provide essential education, food, clothing, shelter, and medical care, ensuring the overall well-being of these children.
Every day, the stark realities faced by these children include the dire need for basic nutrition, with some resorting to eating mud pies just to survive. As the body of Christ, we invite you to join us in our mission to feed these vulnerable children. By serving others, we can truly serve Christ.

As Scripture reminds us, “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?'” (Matthew 25:37-38). This highlights our calling as Christians to extend our hands and support to those in need.
Isaiah 58:10 encourages us with the promise that if we “draw out our soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul,” our light will shine in times of darkness. Furthermore, Isaiah 58:7 reminds us of our responsibility: “Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and to bring the poor that are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, cover him; and do not hide yourself from your own flesh.”
