THE SCRIPTURE
We hold the view that the Bible is a sacred text authored by individuals who were divinely inspired, serving as a clear revelation of God to humanity. We see God as the ultimate source of this scripture, with its purpose centered on the theme of salvation. The content of the Bible embodies truth, presented without error, and serves as a testament to Christ, who stands at the heart of divine revelation.
GOD
We hold the belief that God is a gracious and good creator who sovereignly oversees, sustains, and cares for His creation. He embodies all knowledge, power, love, and wisdom, and is infinite in holiness and every other perfection. His understanding encompasses all things—past, present, and future. The triune God has made Himself known as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with unique attributes while being still united in nature, essence, and being.
JESUS CHRIST
We affirm our belief in Christ as the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, living a perfect and sinless life. Through His substitutionary death on the cross, He redeems humanity from sin. After being buried, He rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God. As both fully God and fully man, He serves as the one mediator who reconciles God and humanity. We look forward to His return in power and glory one day.
HOLY SPIRIT
We hold a deep conviction that the Holy Spirit is entirely divine and played a vital role in inspiring the writing of the Bible. Through His work, we gain a clearer understanding of the truth, He lifts up Christ and brings awareness of sin. The Holy Spirit calls individuals to find salvation and brings about spiritual renewal. He nurtures, comforts, seals, and bestows gifts upon believers, empowering them to serve the church and remain steadfast in their faith until the end.
MAN
We hold the belief that humanity is a unique creation, fashioned by God in His own image as both male and female. At the outset, humanity was free of sin, but through the exercise of free will, we chose to turn away from God, introducing sin and death into the world. This has resulted in a nature and environment that often lead us toward wrongdoing. When we are capable of making moral choices, we can sometimes fall into transgression and face the consequences. However, we believe that through the grace of God in Jesus Christ, our relationship with Him can be restored. Recognising that every person, created in God’s image and loved by Him, possesses inherent dignity, we affirm that individuals of all races deserve respect and Christian love.
SALVATION
We understand salvation as a holistic process that encompasses the redemption of every aspect of a person and is graciously offered to all who choose to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This transformative journey includes several key elements: regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.
Regeneration refers to the new birth, a divine act of grace that enables believers to become new creations in Christ through the Holy Spirit, leading to genuine repentance and faith. Justification is the comprehensive acquittal of sinners, rooted in the completed work of Jesus Christ.
Sanctification involves setting apart believers for God’s purposes, guiding them toward moral and spiritual growth, which is facilitated by the Holy Spirit. Finally, glorification represents the ultimate fulfillment of salvation, marking the blessed, final state of those who are redeemed. It is important to note that personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is essential for experiencing this salvation.
THE CHURCH
We envision a church as a vibrant, autonomous local congregation made up of baptized believers who come together in a covenant of faith and fellowship centered on the gospel. This community is dedicated to observing essential ordinances such as baptism and the Lord’s Supper while actively sharing the gospel with people around the world. Each church is guided by the headship of Jesus Christ and operates through democratic processes, ensuring that its leadership, comprised of pastors and deacons, reflects the collective commitment of its members.
